Fairfax, VA Data licensing for established businesses

Your company’s records are now a licensable asset.

The leading AI labs are paying for what the public internet can’t give them: years of real work from established companies. Duncan Data Partners connects businesses with those buyers, on licenses that run from five to seven figures.

A straightforward process. You approve every step.

It starts with a conversation. Our data partner handles the technical work, and you only sign once a buyer has put real terms in front of you.

Step 1

We talk

A short, confidential call about your business, how long you’ve kept records, and the systems you run on. No data changes hands and nothing is committed.

Step 2

Private details come out

Names, emails, phone numbers and customer details are removed before any buyer sees a thing. Any system, folder or record type can be excluded.

Step 3

A lab makes an offer

When an AI lab wants your records, you receive written terms. You decide whether to sign. If you pass, nothing moves.

Built for established businesses in almost any industry.

If your company has done real work for years and kept records of it, there’s likely a buyer. Here’s what labs are asking for across common sectors.

Construction

Bids, field records and the paper trail behind every job.

What makes records valuable

01

Depth of historyYears of records on file. The longer the history, the more a license is worth.

02

Real work, start to finishProposals, decisions, correspondence and outcomes: how the work actually got done.

03

Records you controlMost company records qualify. Anything restricted by a client agreement can be left out.

Not sure where you stand? That’s what the first call is for. Talk to Michael

You stay in control the whole way.

Nothing is signed, shared or moved until you say so.

Private by default

Names, emails, phone numbers and customer details are removed before a buyer sees anything. Data is encrypted, the originals are deleted once processing is done, and nothing is ever published or sold to your competitors.

Leave anything out

Exclude any system, folder or type of record. HR files, finances, a sensitive client: you decide.

Approve in writing

You sign only once a lab wants your records, and only on terms you've read.

License it again

You keep ownership. Licenses usually run about a year, so the same records can pay again.

Never costs a cent

There’s nothing to pay, ever. If no buyer bites, you’ve spent one phone call.

Full data handling policies are shared with you before anything is signed.

From first call to payment in a few weeks.

Most companies are paid two to three weeks after getting started. Every deal is different, so treat these as typical.

Questions owners ask

Is this legitimate?

Yes. AI labs have already trained on the public internet, so they now license data that only exists inside real businesses. Deals run through an established AI data firm with formal data handling policies, which you’ll see in full before signing anything. A conversation commits you to nothing and never costs you anything.

What is a deal worth?

Typical licenses range from $20K to $5M, depending on how many years of records you have, what kind of records they are, and what buyers need right now. You’ll see real numbers in writing before you decide anything.

Who actually buys the data?

AI labs and research teams training models. Interest is checked with an anonymized summary first, so the buyer often isn't named until there's an offer. Your data is never published and never sold to your competitors.

Will my customers' information be exposed?

Names, email addresses, phone numbers and customer details are removed before data leaves processing. No method is perfect, so anything you can't risk sharing in any form can simply be left out.

Does this take a lot of my team's time?

Very little. Access is read-only and limited to the sources you approve, and it’s revoked when the project ends. Our data partner does the technical work.

Can I sell the same records again?

Usually, yes. You keep ownership, and licenses typically run for about a year, so you can license the same records again later.

What if some of our data belongs to clients?

Some customer and vendor contracts limit how data can be used. We’ll go through those with you, and anything restricted can be excluded.

How do you get paid?

I’m compensated by our data partner when a deal closes. You never pay me anything.
